About the institution:  
Veda Vedanta Gurukula Mahavidyalaya, which is part of the Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, is an institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancient wisdom of the Vedas. Its mission is to provide a nurturing environment for students to learn and master the sacred Vedas and Vedic rituals. The institution is committed to upholding the rich traditions of Vedic education while adapting it to contemporary needs. The institution is blessed by Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Teertha Mahaswami and Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhu Sekhara Bharati Mahaswami.

Veda Guru

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Guidance: Instruct students in Vedic chanting, pronunciation, recitation, and interpretation of Vedic texts.
  • Customized Learning: Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Preservation of Sanatana Dharma: Ensure the authentic transmission of Vedic knowledge and rituals in accordance with the Sanatana Dharma.
  • Mentorship: Provide spiritual and moral guidance to students, fostering their personal growth and commitment to the Vedic path.
  • Ceremonial Leadership: Lead Vedic rituals, ceremonies, homams, and yajnas as required.
  • Collaboration: Work in harmony with fellow adhyapakas and administrative staff to maintain the Pathashala’s overall functioning.

Veda Vidyarthi

Admission Criteria:
Students desirous of being part of this institution should satisfy the following admission criteria:

  • Should be boys in the age group of 7 to 12.
  • Completed upanayana samskaram.
  • Have a sincere desire to study and preserve the wisdom of the Vedas.
  • Should be willing to lead a disciplined life under the guidance of the Veda adhyapakas of the institution.
  • Should be willing to commit to the rigorous academic and spiritual curriculum of the Pathashala.
  • Should demonstrate bright intellect and willingness to learn.
  • Should commit to at least 8 years of learning of the Vedas.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Are you enthusiastic about the Vedic scriptures, and do you want to make a positive impact in preserving and promoting this ancient knowledge? We invite volunteers who are eager to contribute their time, skills, and energy to our mission. Volunteers will be provided a reasonable place to stay and simple food. There are various volunteer opportunities available, including:

  • Teaching Assistance: Support Veda Gurus in the instruction of Vedic chanting, pronunciation, and rituals.
  • Community Engagement: Help us organize events, workshops, and outreach programs to spread awareness about Vedic wisdom.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks, data entry, and organization.
  • Library and Research: Contribute to the maintenance of our Vedic library and engage in Vedic research.
  • Events and Celebrations: Help organize and execute Vedic ceremonies, celebrations, and cultural events.

Available Opportunities

  • Facilities In-charge: Administrative Head for the institution, responsible for all non-academic aspects such as administration, human resources, accounts, facilities upkeep, etc.
  • Administrative Assistant: Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Pathashala. Responsibilities include data entry, scheduling, and assisting with events.
  • Library and Research Assistant: Assist in the maintenance of our Vedic library and engage in Vedic research projects.
  • Community Outreach Coordinator: Help us organize and coordinate community events, workshops, and outreach programs to spread awareness about Vedic wisdom.
  • Maintenance and Facilities Upkeep Staff: Support the maintenance and upkeep of the Pathashala premises.
  • Accounts and Finance: Assist with financial transactions, record-keeping, and budgeting.
